Point Campground is located next to Elk Lake and has 9 small campsites and 1 group campsite in the Deschutes National Forest. Sites are relatively small, but all have beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The camp host also sells firewood. Cell service is good.

Point Area Recreation

The area and lake offers some nice fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, windsurfing and other water sport activities. You can also enjoy hiking and horseback riding (bring your own horse). A boat ramp is also available in the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area you may also be interested in include: Elk Lake, Little Fawn, South – Hosmer Lake, Mallard Marsh and Soda Creek.

    • Hi Taura,

      Thanks for heads up on Point campground (9 sites). We made the correction. Our sources still indicate it has drinking water. We will try and confirm with a ranger.
