Promised Land State Park has 6 camping areas located in the 3,000 acre park on the Pocono Plateau. The park is also surrounded by 12,464 acres of the Delaware State Forest. The park is open year-round but most camping areas are open early April to mid October.

The campground have a total of about 390 campsites. Rustic cabins are also available to rent. Campgrounds/campsites vary from primitive (no hookups), electric hookups and full hookup sites. Other park amenities include a museum, boat ramps, dump station and ranger station.

Lower Lake Campground

On the western edge of Lower Lake, this modern campground includes Beechwood, Northwoods, Rhododendron, and Hemlock Hills areas. There is a dump station at the entrance of Lower Lake Campground. The Beechwood loop has 106 campsites best suited for RVs/trailers and has sites with electric hookups. It also has drinking water, flush toilets, warm-water showers, laundry facilities and trash collection. Northwoods has 48 sites with electric hookups. It also has drinking water, flush toilets, warm-water showers, laundry facilities and trash collection. Rhododendron has 63 sites (some with electric hookups), water, flush toilets, showers and trash collection. Hemlock Hill Equestrian Camground has 6 sites, vault toilets, water for horses and a manure pit. Each site also has a horse stall (for 3-4 horses) table, fire ring, grill and lantern post.

Pickerel Point Campground

On a peninsula on the southern side of Promised Land Lake, Pickerel Point has 75 campsites and three camping cottages. Limited sites and the camping cottages are open year round. The campground has rustic walk-to sites, sites with electric hookups and full hookup sites. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Deerfield Campground

The campground 34 campsites and is just south of Promised Land Lake. Sites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection area provided. No hookups are available. Pets are allowed on all sites.

The Pines Campground

The campground has 58 rustic campsites (no hookups) and is at the northwestern end of Promised Land Lake. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
