North Point Recreation Area campground has 115 single-family campsites and is located right on the shoreline of the Missouri River just above Fort Randall Dam. Many campsites have electrical hookups. Group camping and 7 cabins are also available.  Each site has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include water, flush & vault toilets, showers and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat ramp, picnic area, playground and fish cleaning station.

North Point Recreation Area

The area is famous for the Lewis and Clark expedition, which came up the river in August of 1804.  Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The area offers great fishing, boating, hunting and wildlife viewing. There’s also a trapshooting/rifle range.
