Lake Mineral Wells State Park campground has 101 campsites located next to the lake in the heart of cattle country. The area was also a popular health resort. There are 72 single-family sites with water & electric hookups and 18 equestrian sites and 11 tent/trailers sites. Hike-in primitive and group sites are also available. Each campsite has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, camp store, picnic areas and amphitheater/group hall.
Lake Mineral Wells State Park – Area Recreation
The park has a variety of outdoor recreation activities including horseback riding, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, biking, hiking and wildlife viewing. Boats, kayaks and canoes are also available for rent.
You may also be interested in Possum Kingdom State Park, Fort Richardson State Park or Abilene State Park. Holiday Park (by Fort Worth) is also nice.
