Stephen F. Austin State Park campground is beautifully maintained and offers 105 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs along the Brazos River. Campsites 1-40 are full hookups with pull through parking pads. Campsites 41-80 are standard campsites and campsites 81-105 are very large walk-in campsites. There are also 20 cabin/shelter sites and 2 group campsites. Most campsites have nice shade from large trees throughout the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring, grill and lantern post.
The campground has drinking water, a dump station and modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. The Park also has two playgrounds, a day-use/picnic area, basketball court, nature center, meeting hall and several miles of trails through a forested area. There’s also a very nice 18-hole golf course right next to the park (so bring your clubs)!

1. Are any of the rocks around the Park REAL FOSSIL or Road/Park Decoration?
2. Are there any Normal Rocks in the Park?

I’m not aware of any rock-hounding/collection area in Stephen F. Austin State Park. Perhaps someone else can comment?
had a wonderful stay, for our vacation this year, last week of May.
campsite # 23 was great, we had deer walk by the campsite every morning and evening in the grass area
