Buckboard is a small/primitive campground with 8 single-family campsites and is located at about 8,800 feet in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. Two group sites are also available (up to 50 people per site).

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20 to 43 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Parking spurs and camp roads are gravel, but the road to the campground (Forest Road 105) is paved, but not recommended for larger trailers/RVs. Cell service is not available in the area.

Dalton Springs Campground and Devils Canyon Campground are also nearby.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, hunting, OHV trail riding, horseback riding, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
