Canyonlands National Park Needles District Campground (formerly known as Squaw Flat), has 28 single-family campsites and is located in a spectacular red rock canyon area within the southern portion of the Park. Three group campsites are also available.

The campground has 2 loops. Loop A (1-17) is first-come-first served and loop B campsites (18-27) can be reserved in the spring and fall. All sites are first-come, first-serve other times of the year. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 28 feet). Five sites are tent only. Campsites 6 and 7 are ADA.

Campground amenities include drinking/potable water (seasonal), flush and vault toilets and trash collection. There is no cell service or firewood available for sale. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Willow Flat campground is also over at Island in the Sky (Canyonlands National Park).

Canyonlands National Park Needles District – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is also fantastic!

You may also like other campgrounds in the general area including Superbowl, Creek Pasture, Hamburger Rock, Kens Lake, Windwhistle and Devils Canyon.
