Iron Mine Campground has 28 spacious campsites and is located in an aspen grove next to the North Fork Duchesne River in Ashley National Forest. About half of the campsites are reservable and the rest are first-come, first-serve. Some are double-family sites.

The campground is generally open late May to mid September.  Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Some cell service may be available in the area. Firewood can be purchased from the camp host (in season)

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (40 to 60 feet). Most are single-family sites, but there are a few double-family campsites. One group campsite is also available (up to 50 people)  Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.  Camp roads and parking spurs are dirt. Hookups are not available.

Other campgrounds in the area include Wolf Creek, Mill Hollow, Aspen and Hades.

Iron Mine Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, ATV trail riding, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.  Snowshoeing is also popular during the winter.
