Red Canyon Campground has 35 single-family campsites nestled among spectacular Pink Claron Limestone formations in the Dixie National Forest. Camping is first-come, first-serve (no reservations) and amenities include drinking water, vault & flush toilets, showers and a dump station. The Red Canyon visitor center is also open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Campsites are fairly large and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grate.

Services are also available at the junction of Highways 12 and 89, in the nearby towns of Panguitch and Hatch on U.S. 89, and 15 minutes east on Highway 12.

Red Canyon Area Recreation

Visitors can enjoy hiking and exploring the 60-million year old dark red rock castles protruding up from crimson sand. Other outdoor actives include hiking, ATVing, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
