Timpooneke Campground has 30 campsites located in a secluded mountainous area next to the Mt. Timpanogos Wilderness. Most are single-family sites but there are 7 double-sites. One group site is also available (up to 40 people).

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Aspen, spruce and fir trees provide great shade to most campsites. Sites A6-A10, A12-A13 also have horse stalls. Campground amenities include water and vault toilets. Camp roads and parking spurs are gravel. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available.

Other campgrounds in the area include Theater in the Pines (Group), Mt. Timpanogos, Altamont (Group), Little Mill and Granite Flat.

Timpooneke Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  The 15-mile round-trip Timpooneke Trail begins in the campground and climbs to the summit of rugged Mount Timpanogos. Aspen Grove Trail is nearby, leading to the summit as well. Horses are allowed on Timpooneke Trail.
