Otter Creek Campground is located along side the creek and has a total of 68 single-family campsites. There are 26 sites for trailers & RVs and 42 tent-only campsites. Thirty-nine of the sites are available for advance reservation and 29 sites are first-come, first-serve. Each campsite also has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grate. No hookups are available.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets (with sinks), trash recycling a dump station and a campfire center.  The James River/Otter Creek Recreation area (nearby) also has a restaurant, day-use/picnic area and hiking trails. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Boating, kayaking and canoeing area also popular on the nearby James River.
