Smith Mountain Lake State Park campground has 50 campsites (14 with electric) and is located close to Smith Mountain Lake in western Virginia. There is also a bunkhouse and 20 cabins available to rent.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Some sites are tent-only. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a gift shop/store, beach, marina, boat ramp, playground, picnic area and visitor center.

Smith Mountain Lake State Park – Area Recreation & Info

The park features the second largest freshwater lake in the great state of Virginia. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.
