Elmore State Park Campground has 45 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs, as well as 15 lean-to campsites. All have with easy access to several hiking trails to Elmore Mountain. Group camping is also available.

The campground is open late mid May to late October and has flush toilets, hot showers ($) and a dump station at the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill.  Firewood is also available fore sale from the camp host.

Area Recreation & Activities

Elmore State Park’s day use area includes a large sandy beach on Lake Elmore. There’s also an historic CCC-built beach house with a community room that can be rented for group functions, a concession stand and cafe area, restrooms, and boat rentals. Outdoor activities include boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Little River State Park is another option in the area. It’s 29 miles to the south and has over 100 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.

    A nice park in general, though many sites are very close to the highway. The park is maintained very well, the washrooms are super clean and tidy, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
