Alta Lake State Park has 115 campsites (32 with full hookups) and is located next to the lake in a high-desert/mountain setting. Two group campsites are also available. RVs are okay, but no hookups are available.

The campground is open early April through October. Check-in time is 2:30pm and check-out is 1:00pm. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 38 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station.  There’s also a park store that sells food, supplies, ice and firewood.Free, high-speed Wi-Fi access is also available in limited coverage areas at Alta Lake. Cell service is good in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, paddle-boarding, windsurfing, water sports, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking horseback riding and wildlife viewing.  An 18-hole golf course is also in the area.
