Klahowya Campground has 55 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located along the Sol Duc River in the Olympic National Forest.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campsites 32 and 34 also have electric hookups. Creek side campsites include: 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 33, 35, 37, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44 and 48.

Amenities include drinking water (most of season), vault (3) and flush (2) toilets, trash collection and overflow parking. There’s also a day use/picnic area, boat ramp and you can purchase firewood from the camp host.

Other campgrounds in the area include Bear Creek, Sol Duc and Fairholme.

Area Recreation & Activities

Visitors can enjoy hiking on trails through the rainforest, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. When the river water is low (during the summer), you can also tube or float between the Day Use areas next to campsites #9 and #45. Natural hot pools are also available at the Sol Duck Hot Springs Resort (a 30 minute drive up the canyon).
