We stayed here August 2015 in our 24′ Chinook Destiny. There are trains that run constantly through the park, and the website does warn of that. We didn’t think the noise was too bad, but we had the benefit of being in an RV and not a tent. Signs also warn of raccoons, but we didn’t see any. That said, this is a beautiful location overall. Hiking out to and relaxing on the rocks over the bay is great. A hike up to Fragrance Lake is fun. The Bellingham Interurban Trail runs through the park (you’ll need a mountain bike) and we rode it all the way into south Bellingham. Tidepool exploration is also a must here. Notable wildlife was great blue herons, hermit crabs, anemones, and purple sea stars (starfish!)

  2. As a local, we like to go to specific camping sites within the park systems. We can’t very well make reservations without knowing in advance if that site is already spoken for. Please provide the campsites, with site numbers and amenities available. They already exist so we know they are available. The are some instances where we need an ADA compliant campsite, yet we have no idea which that one might be with the information provided.
We will be looking forward to your updates
