The North Campground has 45 campsites (no electric/hookups), but many of the campsites are right on the shoreline of the Chippewa River or its bays.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include water, vault & flush toilets, showers and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the office or camp host. There’s also a picnic area, swim beach, fishing pier and overflow parking.
The quiet lagoons and channels offer excellent canoeing, kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Other activities include hiking, hunting, swimming biking and picnicking. The park also links to the Old Abe State Trail which runs from Cornell to Chippewa Falls. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are popular in the winter months.
