Bald Mountain Campground has 15 sites and is located along the Medicine Wheel Passage Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 14A) in the Bighorn National Forest. A forest of pine and aspen covers the campground, which sits near top of the mountain at an elevation of 9,200 feet. Small creeks also wind through the campground.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a horse unloading dock and hitching posts at the campground. Cell service is not available in the area.

Bald Mountain – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, hunting, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. There’s also some historic mining sites and the ancient Native American Medicine Wheel you can visit.
