Porcupine campground has 16 single family campsites and is located at an elevation of 8,900 feet in the Bighorn National Forest. Campsites 8, 9, 11 and 12 are tent only, but the others can accommodate trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash college. The nearest dump station is about 25 miles away at Burgess Junction. Cell service is not available in the area.

Porcupine – Area Recreation

Located in north-central Wyoming, the Bighorn Mountains have an incredibly diverse landscape — from lush grasslands to alpine meadows, from crystal-clear lakes to glacial carved valleys, from rolling hills to sheer mountain walls. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Medicine Wheel National Historic Landmark is also nearby.
