The area offers some fine creek fishing, and there are also several lakes within a few miles where you can cast a line. Other outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. There’s also some nice OHV trails in the area.  The historic big Goose Ranger Station is also near the campground and worth a visit.
