Pere Marquette State Park is an 8,000-acre park in Jersey County famous for the exceptional beauty of its fall colors and for its wintering bald eagle. In addition to enjoying the spectacular view of the Illinois River and its backwaters from several points atop the bluffs, visitors can take advantage of a variety of year-round recreational opportunities, including horseback riding, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and boating.
Pere Marquette State Park Campground is in a nice wooded area and has 87 single-family (including 7 tent) campsites. All campsites have hookups except the 7 tents sites. The campground has flush toilets, hot showers, a Dumpstation and playground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Group camping is also available.
