Effie Beckstrom Group Overview

Effie Beckstrom Group Campground has 2 campsites (East and West) in the Pine Valley Recreation Area at an elevation of 6,800 feet.

The East group site can accommodate up to 80 people and 10 vehicles. The site can accommodate tents, RVs and trailers (up to 52 feet).  The group site consists of 8 spurs, 2 doubles and 6 singles. Each single site also has a picnic table, fire ring, utility table and 12’x 12′ tent pad. Each double site has two picnic tables, fire ring, two utility tables and 12′ x 20′ tent pad.

The West group site can accommodate up to 88 people and 10 vehicles. The site can accommodate tents, RVs and trailers (up to 47 feet). Group The group site consists of 9 spurs, 2 doubles and 7 singles. Each single site also has a picnic table, fire ring, utility table and 12’x 12′ tent pad. Each double site has two picnic tables, fire ring, two utility tables and 12′ x 20′ tent pad.

Other amenities include covered pavilions, drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is poor.

Other campgrounds (camping loops) in Pine Valley Recreation Area include Crackfoot, Ebenezer Bryce, Equestrian, Yellow Pine and Dean Gardner. You might also like Mitt Moody Campground.

Effie Beckstrom Group – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and stargazing. Wildlife viewing is also pretty good in the area.
