Bloomfield Campground has 20 campsites in a forested area next to the North Fork Mokelumne River in the Stanislaus National Forest.  It is also just a few miles west of Ebbets Pass and 4 miles north of Highland Lakes. All campsites are first-come, first-serve and the campground is usually open mid late May to late September (weather permitting).

Campsites are best suited for tent camping, but camper vans and small trailers/RVs are okay. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water (hand pump / summer only) and vault toilets. Trash collection is not provided (pack in/pack out). Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Pacific Valley, Mosquito Lakes, Lodgepole and Spicer Reservoir.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, hunting, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
