Dirt Flat Campground has 7 (tent-only) campsites right along the north side of the Merced River in the Sierra National Forest. It’s also about 20 miles to Yosemite National Park (Village).

The primitive campground is open year-round and has vault toilets and trash collection. Water is not available so remember to bring your own. Cell service is not available.

Campsites are for tent only and reservable, but assigned when you get there on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is available (along Incline Road), but there’s a short walk to each campsite. Each site has a table, bear box, fire ring and grill. You can have up  to 1 vehicle and 6 people per campsite.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, kayaking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The closest store/gas station is about 10 minutes away.

Dry Gulch Campground is also nearby.
