Gold Lake Campground has 37 campsites (11 reservable) and is next to the lake at an elevation of about 6,445 feet.  Many campsites have views of the water and the beautiful craggy peaks and and mountains in the area. The ruins of an old mining community are also nearby.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. You can camp up to 14 consecutive days. Up to 2 vehicles and 8 people per site. Check in is 2pm and check out is 12pm.

Amenities include vault toilets. Piped water is not available. There’s also a boat ramp next to the campground, but the road is a bit narrow and rough. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Snag Lake, Goose Lake and Lakes Basin.
