  4. How much are the showers?

    • Hi Debbie,
As CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with Hurkey Creek Campground (we provide the photos and additional info about the campground, including a link for reservations), we’re not quite sure how much it cost to take a shower. Usually it is around $1 for 3 minutes.

    • Thank you

  5. Dear Ranger

    3. How can you know if a campsite will accommodate a 30′ camping trailer?

    Thanks

    • Hi Greg,
Yes you can ride mountain bikes on the trails around Hurkey Creek campground.
Campsites can accommodate trailers/RVs up to 40 feet.
To check specific campsite sizes – click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button and you’ll be directed to the reservation agency. Click on ‘Hurkey Creek’, and then click on any campsite that is available for the dates you want to stay (clicking on the green box / date of arrival). This will give you a popup that shows campsite size, etc.

  9. Are fires allowed in fire ring this year?

    • Hi Carrie,
Currently fires are allowed in fire rings at Hurkey Creek campground, but fire conditions can change quickly. It might be best to give the campground office a call to confirm: 951 659-2050 / 800 234-7275

  10. it is the best camping area our family love this place and will continue to go

  11. Is there a flowing creek at the campground

    • Hi Diane,

Hurkey Creek is pretty much a trickle. There’s a little water flowing, but not much.

      • Thank you for your response. Can you recommend a campground near you that does have flowing water?

      • Hi Diane,
About the closest campground to Hurkey Creek (campground) that may have flowing water this time of year is Dark Canyon. It is about 14 miles to the north (via Highway 74 and 243). Dark Canyon is a bit more primitive (dirt road to campground), but it’s beautiful up there and is located on the North Fork of the San Jacinto ‘River’ (which is more like a creek).

  12. Do you allow charcoal grill there?

    • Hi Anthony,
We are unaware of any types of fire restrictions at Hurkey Creek Creek campground. Here’s a current notice (10/17/2020) from the campground:

Fire restrictions can be imposed at any time.
We are currently allowing fires, but this can change depending on weather.
Your park ranger will let you know if any restrictions are needed.

I recommend you call Hurkey Creek to confirm fires are allowed (including charcoal grill fires): 951-659-2050

  15. Hello, are all your sites compatible for slideouts?

    • Hi Kayree,
Yes, most Hurkey Creek campsites are pretty wide and will accommodate slideouts. There may be just a few that won’t because of trees, but most do. You can check out the campsite photos to get a better idea.

  16. Could you please tell me the picnic table dimensions for a table covering?

    • Hi Jackie,
Unfortunately we don’t have that info. I recommend you try and call Hurkey Creek campground directly to see if someone knows the dimensions. The number is: 951 659-2050
