Had a blast it’s not secluded but was a wonderful safe place for a family camp out

  2. Sandi Miller says:

We had 21 family members in 4 shady sites with 6 tents and had tons of room for the kids to run around. Sites 47 through 50 were perfect for us, in between 2 restrooms a short walk away (one had a shower in men’s and another in women’s). Hand soap and paper towels in restrooms but no outlets. Close to the village for grocery runs, pizza parlor, etc. Clean campground…loved it!

  3. Molly Wasserman says:

Love this campground. Family centric camping – no wild parties or late night generators. Volunteers run the front desk and took good care of us during our stay. Catrine was the best! She moved oursite when she saw we were next to a large group and offered us easy to follow directions for hiking and the village.

  4. One of my favorite campgrounds. Quiet park. Well maintained. Lots of shady spots. Great hiking. It seems to attract campers, not partiers. Only about a mile and half from the village, so you can easily walk there and shop or eat if you want.

  5. Hi, is #7 suitable for a roof top tent on a wagon? Cant work out where the parking is….. is it flat ?

    • Hi Michael,
The parking area is the dirt/leave covered area on the other side of the sign post. It has a bit of a slope and has room for a 12 foot maximum RV. There are some trees fairly close to the parking area but I do not believe the branches would interfere with a roof top tent.

  6. Hi, we have a 5yr old and 3yr old, which sites would be the most quiet and not on a slope?

    • Hi April,
I’d start with our favorite Idyllwild Park campsites are: 9, 15, 17, 26 and 50. We pick those based on location (view, away from other campsites, privacy), as well as being away from high-traffic areas, and size.
You might also consider campsites on the parameter (but double check photos for size, etc.): 7, 16, 31, 37, 38, 78, 79, 91, 92, 95.
