Thornhill Broome Beach Campground is in Point Mugu State Park and has 69 primitive campsites stretching for two miles along PCH and right next to the surf of the Pacific Ocean. All Thornhill Broome campsite pads are listed as being 31 feet in length and 12 feet wide. However, because the campground’s ‘turnaround’ is limited the total combined length of a towing vehicle and trailer is 31 feet (maximum).

Campsite Info

The campsites are nothing more than parking spots along the highway and accommodate trailers and RVs up to 31 feet.  You can have up to 2 vehicles and 8 people per site (a trailer counts as one vehicle).  Some  of the campsites will accommodate tents and you can pitch your tent right on the beach (sand).  Each campsite also has a table and fire ring. A few have BBQ grills. All fires must be in the designated fire rings.   Limit 30 days per calendar year. Overflow parking is not available.

Amenities

Vault toilets are available and there are a few roadside spigots for drinking water. Thornhill Broome does not have a sanitation/dump station. The closest one is located at the Campus Plaza Shell in Moorpark. There’s also a cold shower near campsite #47. The campground and beach are also pet-friendly. Cell service is good.

Thornhill Broome Reservations

To make a reservation, click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button and you’ll be directed to the reservation agency (Reserve California). Enter ‘Point Mugu State Park’ to inquire about Thornhill Broome campground reservations. Campsites 48-64 are seasonal sites (tent only) and are first-come, first-served. Check in is 2:00 p.m. and check out is 12:00 p.m. Arrive early to get in line for a first-come, first-serve campsite (especially in the summer and weekends).  First-come first-serve campsites are not necessarily guaranteed for all of the nights you may like to stay.

Your entry fee covers one vehicle and one legally towed in vehicle. There are additional fees for extra vehicles. You are to park only in your assigned campsite and wheels must remain on the pavement and within the parking space or limit line. Park additional vehicles in the day use lot. There is also a small overflow parking area north of the campground.

Sycamore Canyon campground is another option located in Point Mugu State Park.

Thornhill Broome – Area Recreation

Point Mugu State Park is located on Highway One up the road from Malibu and features 5 miles of ocean shoreline and 70 miles of hiking trails along the beach and in the Santa Monica mountains. You’ll find rocky ocean bluffs, sandy beaches, rugged hills, two river canyons, grassy valleys and even the jagged pinnacles of the Boney Mountains State Wilderness area.  Outdoor recreation includes surf fishing, swimming, beach combing, ocean kayaking, skin diving, scuba diving, horseback riding, hiking, biking, whale watching, wildlife viewing and for the adventurous – sunbathing.

First come first serve? No reservations

    • Hi Christine, You can make reservations at Thornhill Broome campground (Point Mugu State Park). Click HERE to go to the ReserveCalifornia reservation page.

      • Is it possible to get first come first serve? The reservation site only lists 40 something sites out of 69 and the weekend I am looking at is booked. Thank you!

      • Good question Lizzie. There are 29 that are first-come, first-serve, but getting one will depend on when you arrive. If shooting for a weekend, you should probably try for a Thursday arrival. Summer is pretty busy.

      • Raul Garibay says:

        Can you fish here?

      • Hi Raul,

Yes, you can surf-fish at Thornhill Broome State Beach / Campground.

    • Does Thornhill Broome still have first come first serve spaces available right now? I am receiving conflicting messages and don’t want to show up and find out that there arent any open.

      • Hi Corinne,
Yes – Thornill Broome campsite does have first-come, first-serve campsites. I’m not sure if they will be taken or not, but there are several (sites 48-64, and maybe more) that are designated as such. Weekends will still be popular now – so you should try and get their early morning on Friday to grab a spot.

    • Christine Defila & Ben Roubos says:

Hi, We have a reservation for one night on a Friday June 17to18 this year, but unfortunately we made a mistake. It should be Saterday June 18to19. Is there someone that like to change his reservation of that Saterday to that Friday? Please let us know. Thank you so much. Christine & Ben (from Amsterdam in The Netherlands)

    • Very confusing as to whether the name of this campground is Point Mugu or Thornhill Broome.Technically, I believe it is Thornhill Broome, but you can’t reserve there…. doesn’t exist on the website. Also, I don’t believe they do walk-ins anymore, correct?

      • Hi David,
Yes – the naming is a bit confusing. It is ‘Thornhill Broome’ campground in Point Mugu State Park. Sycamore Canyon campground is the other one in Point Mugu State Park. When trying to make a reservation (on ReserveCA), you’d search for ‘Point Mugu State Park’ and both campgrounds will show.

  2. What time do you recommend being there for first come first serve? We want to go on a weekday on Wednesday and stay for two nights. Please let me know, thank you!

    • That’s a good question Tony! Mid week is your best best for getting a first-come, first-serve campsite at Thornhill Broome. Prior to Memorial Day you should not have a problem, but the summer will be competitive. Check out is noon, so I’d recommend showing up no later than mid-morning during the summer/busy time to try and get a spot. Good luck!

  3. Mary G Schultz says:

Hello, looking for camping in large Rv on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Any chance of getting a first come spot?

  4. Hello, We have a reservation for 2 sites this Friday. What is the earliest we can arrive ensure that we get two sites that are next to each other? Thank you

  5. Is sycamore camp ground first come first serve?

  6. HI!

Due to some scheduling changes, it’s looking like our group will have 2 extra cars now coming at different times. Is there other overnight parking anywhere or what would you suggest? I don’t want to book an extra campsite when we don’t need it.

  7. Oh and one more question: do the first come first serve have fire rings?

  8. Therese says:

How much is parking per night?

    • Hi Therese,
Not sure if there is a charge for camper overflow parking at Thornhill Broome Campground. You may want to call Point Mugu State Park to double check: 310 457-8143

  9. Hi! I just tried to get first come first serve at Thornhill for the weekend and they told me it’s night by night and if we do get a spot we would have to move if it was reserved. I’m confused because I’m under the assumption there are 29 spots you cannot reserve and do walk ups.

    • Hi Wendy,
That’s too bad! That was our impression too – that there were a designated # of first-come first-serve campsites and if you got one you could stay there. We will be sure to put there ‘policy’ up on the Thorhill Broome campground page.

  10. How can we get a tent campsite at Thornhill Broom? I’ve only seen what looks like trailer sites when booking online. Thanks!

  11. Why is it every time I put in Thornhill Broome for a reservation, it comes up “not found”? I don’t wish to camp in Big Basin but that is the only option?

    • Hi Pam,
Unfortunately Reserve California does have some issues with its reservation system. Try clicking HERE and enter ‘Point Mugu State Park’. That may help find Thornhill Broome campground reservations.

  12. Hello,
I know there are sometime fire restrictions at Malibu Creek State Park camping. Are there any fire restrictions at thornhill-broome? Can we cook with charcoal?
    Thanks!

    • Hi Danny,

Fires are allowed in the designated fire rings at Thornhill Broome Beach Campground, but we’re not sure if you can cook with charcoal in a contained BBQ. I’d recommend calling the Park directly to confirm: 310 457-8143

  13. Gabriel says:

Is the Thornhill Broome beach campground first come first served or can I reserve my spot

    • Hi Gabriel,
Thornhill Broome campground does take reservations, but there are also a few first-come, first-serve campsites. However during the summer the first-come, first-serve campsites are very difficult to get. You can visit the Thornhill Broome campground page and then click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability and make a reservation.

  14. Which campsites are for tents and how do I know I’m getting a tent site when making a reservation? Are small dogs allowed on this beach? Thanks!

    • Hi Erika,
Thornhill Broome State Park campground and beach are pet-friendly. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the Park’s day use areas, campgrounds and beaches.

Click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button on the Thornhill Broome campground page to check availability and make a reservation. This routes you to ReserveCalifornia and it should indicate which are tent only sites at Thorhill Broome.

  15. Chrissy Wright says:

Every single time I try to make a reservation the website does not allow me to find thornhill!!! I live in the area and have been trying to camp here for over a year now, but can never seem to figure out these confusing websites with links to OTHER camp sites when I’m trying to stay at THIS ONE.
    Super frustrating…..

  16. Which site numbers are tent only?

  17. What time is best to get to the camp site to see if first come first serve is available for that day?

    • Hi Hasley,

Usually during the summer it’s pretty competitive to get first-come, first-serve campsites at Thornhill Broome campground. Check in is 2pm and check out is noon. You’ll generally have people getting in line (especially on Thursday and Friday) by 7AM. Some will be waiting for first-come-first serve sites, others will be hoping for people (with reservations) leaving early or not showing.

  18. Courtney says:

Is there a charge to use the Sycamore Canyon dump station and/or showers if you are staying at the Thornhill Broome campsite? Thank you!

  19. Estee Olivera says:

I am looking to camp September 22 to the 24th for my birthday. I seem to be having a problem reserving a spot at Thornhill Broome. What is the best way to secure a site?

  20. I have a reservation on 9/14/18. Can I arrive before check in (2pm)?

Also, will i need sand bags? I heard it gets pretty windy.

Also, do campsites have parking spots at each campsite?

    • Hi Ali,
Most California State Parks won’t allow early check-in, but Thornhill Broome campground may let you check in early if your site is available.
I would recommend checking the weather for (wind) conditions. On your date of arrival the wind is expected to reach 22-24mph, so sand bags would probably be a good idea. Also, each campsite has a parking area at Thornhill Broome campground.

  21. Mitchelle Javier says:

How many cars can fit in one site?

    • Hi Michelle,

For Thornhill Broome campground – your entry fee covers one vehicle and one legally towed in vehicle. There are additional fees for extra vehicles. You are to park only in your assigned campsite and wheels must remain on the pavement and within the parking space or limit line. Park additional vehicles in the day use lot.

Most of the campsites have a fairly large parking area (up to 31 feet) so you can fit two cards, but you’ll need to pay extra for the 2nd vehicle.

  22. We use our suv to tow our pop-up camper. The suv is 17′ long and the pop-up is 22′ when opened. That’s over the 31′ parking space. Can we park side by side in the space? Thank you!

    • Hi Dale,
You won’t be able to park your vehicle and trailer side-by-side at Thornhill Broome State Beach campground, but both should fit in most sites. The campground host will make the final call though and can assist in finding a site that fits for you.

      • Our Toy hauler is 27′ however with hitch 33′ – would there be a spot we could fit and a place to park our truck?

      • Hello Barbara!
There’s a chance that your vehicle and toy hauler will fit in your site at Thornhill Broome State Beach.
        Hope this helps.

  23. Hello! I’m planning on showing up at 5am on saturday the 13th to try to get three first come first serve campsites. I’m a little nervous because online reservations are booked. Is there a chance at getting at least 2-3 sites on that day? Fingers crossed.

    • Hi Kat,

CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos of each campsite, campground info and links to make reservations. Thornhill Broome campground is popular during the weekends, but usually there are a few open for first-come, first-serve. However, arriving on Saturday may be tough – even arriving at 5am. Most usually arrive Friday to try and get the open spots. Best of luck!

  24. Hi. Is there car camping? Or do you have to park separate from your space of the table and fire pit?

  25. Is there enough room for two tents on the campsites?

  26. Chris Doehring says:

If I am trying to come Sunday, Dec 2, will I be okay for first-come first-serve spots? Will I have to be there early or will there most likely be spots open at around 7pm?

  27. stephan mercier says:

hi, my RV is 40 feet, do you have a spot for that size ?dec,24 for 5 days

    • Hi Stephen,
There are several campsites at Thornhill Broome campground that will accommodate your 40 foot RV. December 24 for 5 days should be available (first come, first-served), but you may want to check on reserving a site to be safe. Go to the Thornhill Broome campground page and click on the ‘Make A Resevation’ button to check availability, pricing and to make a reservation.

  28. Natalie Inman says:

When will spots open up for Reservation in August 2019?

    • Hi Natalie,
Thornhill Broome campground reservations open up 6 months prior to the day of arrival. So for example if you were wanting to arrive on August 1, then the first day you could try and get a reservation is on February 1. February 10 would be when reservations open up for August 10, and so forth. Reservations open at 8AM PST. We recommend you are logged in to ReserveCalifornia and the campground loaded and ready to go (to choose a site) before 8AM. Campsites will booked up quickly and the campground will probably sell out within a minute (or less) past 8AM.

  29. So Seasonal Campsite @ Thornhill 48-64, are they the first come first serve tent sites? If not, how can i reserve one of the spots in that section?

  30. ANDREA FYNAN says:

Is there a tent size max? also what is the exact dimension of each camp spot?

  31. David Kent says:

Looking forward to arriving this weekend. Heard there might be a problem with vehicles turning at end of road? Is road serviceable at end to turn around with trailers?

  32. James Donahue says:

Can you tell me where the nearest grocery store for supplies is located? Also, are there any roadside spigots available for water? Thanks!

    • Hi James,
The nearest grocery store to Thornhill Broome State Beach campground is 11 miles north in Oxnard, or 12.2 miles south in Malibu. Thornhill Broome State Beach campground also has drinking water / spigots.

  33. Hi. We are reserving a spot for tent camping. Do you have little bbq pits? And do you have fire pits so we can bring wood to have a little fire?

    • Hi Summer,
At Thorhill Broome campground – each campsite has a table and fire ring. A few have BBQ grills. All fires must be in the designated fire rings. There are also a few community fire rings on the beach.

  34. Elizabeth Lazar says:

How do I find out about any cancelations in April, May or june 2019

    • Hi Elizabeth,

The best was is to check the ReserveCalifornia.com site a few times a week (or more) for cancelations at Pt. Mugu State Park – Thornhill Broome.
However – later this year CampsitePhotos.com will role out a new program that will help people get notifications as soon as there are cancelations at campgrounds. It’s going to be a really great tool to help people get a canceled campsite.

  35. Elizabeth Lazar says:

when I can make a reservation for October?

    • Hi Elizabeth,
Thornhill Broome, and all California State Park campgrounds, are on a 6-month reservation window system. You can make a reservation exactly 6 months prior to the day of your arrival. For example, if you want to arrive on October 6, then the first day you can make a reservation would be on April 6. Be sure to login to ReserveCalifornia around 7:30 am and have the campground selected. The reservation window will open at 8am PDT.

  36. Hi there! Our RV is 33 feet but when reserved it says a max of 31 feet, will they still allow us to camp there/will it fit? We aren’t bringing any other vehicles so just the rv would be in the site

  37. Christina says:

Will our 38′ RV be allowed if we booked two sites right next to each other?

    • Hi Christina,

The Thornhill Broome State Beach ranger/camp host will make the final decision on whether they will allow your 38′ RV to be parked in your two sites. You might try calling the park/campground to double check: 0 457-8143

  38. Michelle Kelly says:

Do the first come first serve spots have fire pits? Also, we are trying to get a spot this weekend (just for 1 night on Saturday). What time should we show up on Saturday morning?

    • Hi Michelle,
All campsite at Thornhill Broome State Beach have fire pits, including first-come, first-serve sites. With that said, there may be one or two that are missing a fire ring. Weekends are very popular and all first-come, first-serve sites will probably be taken by Friday afternoon, so it’ll be lucky if you’re able to get one for Saturday night (only). If you do try, you should probably get there before 8AM on Saturday.
      Best of luck.

  39. brett williams says:

what is the earliest I can get a site on Thursday? And if I reserve Thursday can I pay to be there thru the weekend?

    • Hi Brett,

Check in time is 2PM, and that’s generally when the camp host will assign open campsites at Thornhill Broome campground. If you do arrive and get a spot on Thursday, you will be able to pay for that campsite through the weekend.

  40. Mitch Turner says:

If I were to try to come to camp for 1 night on a Sunday, what are my chances of getting a spot for first come first serve if I arrive at 2pm?

    • Hi Mitch,
Hard to tell on that one. Thornhill Broome campground is a popular place all summer and on weekends. Because you’re coming just for Sunday night you may find a spot, but coming later in the day may hurt your chances too. Sorry we couldn’t be more definitive.

  41. mike starr says:

I cant make reservations in Ca State Park site. Thornhill Broome does not populate when I type it in location block. Is there another name it is listed under?

  42. Michelle Rosas says:

What sites are right next to the bathrooms?

  43. bea caste says:

hi, i made a reservation for campsite #39 , i wont be arriving till a little after 2pm, will my campsite be given away to anyone who is first come first serve if i dont get there at 2?

    • Hi Bea,
You’re Thornhill Broome campsite reservation will be held until 8am the following day of your arrival date, so arriving after 2pm the day of your arrival is fine (your campsite will not be given away).

  44. Wanted to know the price of the camp sites 48- 69 plz

    • Hi James,
Thornhiill Broome campsites 48-69 are ‘seasonal’ tent only campsites (first-come, first-serve), and we have been unable to confirm the price per night. Most likely there are around the $15-$20 per night range.

  45. Dylan Mattina says:

The BEDT beach campground along the PCH!!!

  46. Teresa Swan says:

We made reservations for 2 (RV) sites at Thornhill Broome this October, I wanted to know what kind of showers do they have? Coin operated? Hot showers? If not, how about the showers at Sycamore Canyon since I read that guests who are registered at Thornhill Broome can use them. Are they also coin operated or do they accept credit cards? Hot showers?

    • Hi Teresa,
There is a cold shower (free) next to campsite #47 at Thornhill Broome State Beach. As a registered camper (at Thornhill), you can also use the showers and Sycamore Canyon campground. The Sycamore Canyon showers do have hot water and are coin operated.

  47. Hi I was wondering if the bathrooms at thornehill Brooke are open? We have a trip planned for this weekend. Thanks!

  48. For 4th of July Weekend, is Thursday a safe bet to snag a spot? And then do we pay for Thursday through Saturday up front?

    • Hi Eddie,
The reservable sites at Thornhill Broome campground are all sold out for the entire week prior to and through the 4th of July weekend. More than likely, all the first-come, first-serve sites will be taken that entire week as well. So I think your chances are slim that you’ll get an open first-come, first-serve site.

  49. Dara Murphy says:

Can you have an RV on any site, or only on specific sites?

  50. I have a 35ft motorhome. Will that fit in the reserved section?

  51. I’m trying to book online for thornhill, but its not pulling up on the Cal State website

    • Hi Ana,

If you click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button, you’ll be directed to ReserveCalifornia.com. From there, enter ‘Point Mugu SP’, and then Thornhill Broome campground will show up.

  52. What is Thornhill Broome like in December, specifically December 13-17? Is it overcast most of the day? Sunny? Cold? Rainy?

    • Hi Ricky,
If there are not any storms blowing through, it is usually clear and mild. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the high 40s. The long range forecast calls for a ‘La Nina’ condition, which means dryer, but a little colder than normal. However, if a storm comes through – they are usually more intense. I think your chances are good you’d have nice days, but keep an eye on the weather.

  53. Michael Levesque says:

Can you get a first-come, first-serve by only being there at 1400? Or can you grab an open spot prior to 1400? Thanks in advance,

    • Hi Michael,
You can arrive earlier than 1400 and get/claim a first come first serve campsite prior to 1400. Of course the campsite needs to be available/vacant. Have fun!

  54. hi, i was wondering if camp sites have a water source for dishes. i can’t tell from the photos.
    thank you!

  55. Are the tent on the sand spots first come first serve as well or should I reserve a spot? Also which spots would those be?

  56. How crowded are the first come first serve sites in November?

    • Weekends will be busy, but you should get a campsite with a mid morning arrival on Friday. Thanksgiving holiday weekend will be close to sold out. Mid week – wide open.

  57. Russell Cook says:

    Hi,
We have a 35ft Rv. Are there any sites that will accommodate us? The website says 31ft pad. Is there specific sites that will fit us? I saw a comment saying there are sites that will fit a 40ft RV.
    Thanks

    • Hi Russell,
All Thornhill Broome campsite pads are listed as being 31 feet in length and 12 feet wide. With that said, I doubt your 40 foot RV would fit, but maybe someone else has some insight.

  58. Hello. We’ve never camp at Thornhill Broome and very excited we got Spot 40. However, our Motorhome is 35’ – do I have to cancel my reservation or we won’t have any problem fitting it. We will be driving about 3 hours and want to make sure we have a spot when we get there. Thank you.

    • Hi Elle,

That’s a tough one. The pad length for campsite #40 is 31 feet. I know there’s a little wiggle room, but not sure if your RV will fit. I’d advise contacting ReserveCalifornia.com to confirm. Also, keep in mind that all campgrounds are currently closed due to Covid restrictions.

  59. Hi! I have a 4m Bell Tent (round) which is 13ft by 13ft at the longest point. Is it possible to camp at thornhill with a tent that size? Thank You!

    • Hi Aitana,
Yes, there are some campsites at Thornhill Broome campground that can accommodate tent camping (on the sand), and would fit that tent size. I don’t know which ones off hand, but the campsite photos should give you an idea.

  60. Wondering what “seasonal only” tent sites means. Like are they only available during certain months? Are they lower cost than the reservable sites? Any help appreciated. Thanks

    • Hi Goose,
The seasonal campsites at Thornhill Broome are generally not open/available until early May through September. I’m pretty sure the rates are the same.

  61. hi, would it be possible to get two first come first serve spots or is there a limit? i’m planning on getting a spot for my family and reserving another for my friends coming a couple hours later.

    • Hi Bella,
Yes, you can reserve two first-come, first-serve campsites if available. Remember that Thornhill Broome is very popular and fills up on the weekends and many other days during the summer. Generally you need to try and get a FCFS site on Thursday if planning to stay over the weekend.

  62. Manuel nila says:

I would like information on becoming a camp host.

  63. Park Ranger, I have been trying to find Thornhill Broome campground on Reservecalifornia.com. Your park doesn’t seem to be listed. Is there another name for that campground?

  64. Camping Mama says:

Hi – We have reservations for two nights, 9/24-9/26/2021. Do you think the broken water main will be fixed by then? Trying to figure how much potable water to bring for tent camping or if we should forget the tents and rent a trailer to be delivered from campingadventurerentals.com as listed on reservecalifornia.com and if our Odyssey minivan will fit in same campsite parking space with a 32 ft. rental trailer. Thank you!!

    • Hi Camping Mama,
Unfortunately we have not heard when the broken water main may be repaired at Thornhill Broome campground. You might try calling Point Mugu State Park to check: (805) 488-1827

      • Camping Mama says:

Thank you for the response! I called the number and left a voicemail. Will share when I hear back. Have a great weekend!

  65. Camping girl says:

    Hello,
If I were to arrive at the campsite at 11pm, would I still have access to parking?

    • HI Camping Girl,
If you have a reservation you’ll be able to access your campsite and park your vehicle. If you don’t have a reservation, the sites are probably sold out.

      • Camping girl says:

        Hello,
so if I were to come in for a first come first serve in the morning, do I need to check in with someone for a parking pass; if so, are they there at all times of the day to check us in?
        Thanks!

    • HI Camping Girl,
Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the ‘parking pass’ policy. If you get a campsite – you can park up to 2 vehicles in a site (depending on the site).

  67. Hello checking if If campsite 5 is only 31 feet? Our trailer is 30 ft. Want to make sure we fit and is there additional parking for truck?

    • Hi Tommy,
Campsite #5 is 12 feet wide by 31 feet long so your trailer will fit. You can park additional vehicles in the day use lot. There is also a small overflow parking area north of the campground.

  68. Do they have potable water to fill tanks at Thornhill?

Hello, I haven’t been to this campsite in a few years and I can’t remember the parking situation since we’ve carpooled as a group. I have a reservation in two weeks and since everyone has a different schedules on Friday….we are all planning to show up at different times. I know the campsite has two spots but only one vehicle is included. Every additional car is $12/day. Is there an overflow parking for 2 extra cars? They’ll pay the fee but we are just afraid we won’t be able to park near the campground.

    • Hi Steven,
Each campsite is 31 feet long (and about 10 feet wide). The sites can accommodate up to 2 vehicles and 8 people. A trailer counts as a 2nd vehicle. Unfortunately Thornhill Broome Campground does not have an overflow (overnight) parking area. Registered campers at Thornhill Broome can park an extra vehicle (overnight) at the Sycamore Canyon Campground (if space available). Sycamore Canyon Campground is a little over a mile to the south on Highway 1.

  70. Is this campground still 1st come 1st serve? I have been calling the number listed for a couple days and not getting an answer. If it needs a reservation How Do I Do That?

    • Hi Flux,
Campsites at Thornhill Broome Campground can be reserved year-round. I’m not sure if they hold any for first-come, first-serve camping. You can click no the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and make a reservation. After you click on the button search ‘Point Mugu State Park’.

  71. Due to the campground losing their turnaround they have very strict length rules which it would be good to update on your page. Tow Vehicle and trailer combined can’t be more than 31 feet.

  72. More than five years ago I was lucky enough to snag a reservation at this campground and then extend our visit for another 3 days with the first come first served sites. Unfortunately, last Monday I found out that the FCFS sites haven’t been in use for a couple of years due to beach erosion. I found this out after paying for a night, in person, at the automated kiosk. Afterwards, I was told by a park ranger that those kiosks are only for ranger use – though there is no signage to indicate that. Other than the useless kiosks, this is a great campground and if you are able to get a reservation you won’t regret it.
