Wife and I stayed for a week in August while visiting relatives in Littleton,it doesn’t get any better than here, hats off to workcampers they kept sites spotless, nice walking trail, will be back

  2. Michelle Champagne says:

Chatfield SP has undergone a major renovation of the reservoir and it has ruined the park. Someone needs to take new photos for this site. I booked site 10 in loop A 6 months ago and when we arrived it looked nothing like it. They have cut all the trees down and the view is now a parking lot. There is no access to the water from the camp for SUP or kayaking, or swimming. It was so awful we cancelled our reservation and went home.

Question – what do you base your choices for the best campsites?

    • Hi Janine,

Good question. Or photographer will make a list of his/her favorite campsites based on location (next to a river, lake, ocean), view, privacy, size, layout and how level the site is. Sometimes only a few of these factors may come in to play when comparing to other campsites.
