Dowdy Lake Campground has 70 spacious single-family campsites (10 are walk-to tent sites) and is located next to Dowdy Lake and close to the popular Red Feather Lakes area. All campsites (except the 10 walk-to tent sites) have electricity and can accommodate trailers and RVs of various sizes. There are also five double campsites available.
Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. The walk-to tents sites also have a food storage locker. There’s also a day-use are and boat ramp next to the campground. The campground is completely open June 1 through September, with 30 sites remaining open year round. Cell service is good.
Popular outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, boating (1o mph), kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

I saw a pic of a huge heart shaped rock w/tree growing out of it. Supposed to be in the Dowdy campground. Is this correct? would love to see it.

Yes – there is a large rock in the shape of a heart with a tree growing out of it near Dowdy Lake campground. Unfortunately we do not have a picture of it.
