Oregon Inlet Campground has 107 campsites and is one of four campgrounds located at Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The other 3 campgrounds are Cape Point, Frisco and Ocracoke.

Oregon Inlet is open year round and has 47 sites with electric hookups. There are also 30 tent-only campsites, 30 standard sites (no hookups) and 1 group campsite. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, a dump station and trash collection. Cell service is good in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, beach combing, sunbathing, hiking, biking, OHV trail riding, windsurfing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore protects parts of three barrier islands: Bodie Island, Hatteras Island, and Ocracoke Island. Beach and sound access ramps, campgrounds, nature trails, and lighthouses can be found and explored on all three islands.
