Defeated Creek Park has 155 spacious campsites (electric hookups) and is right along the banks of Cordell Hull Lake on the Cumberland River System.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. All sites have electric hookups. Each site also has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grill. Two large group day-use shelters are also available on a first come first serve basis or for reservation in the day use area, both shelters have water and electric hookups.
Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, laundry facilities, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, picnic/day-use area, amphitheater, playground, church, beach, tennis and volleyball courts. A marina is also adjacent to the campground (boat rentals available). Cell service is fair in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Tailwater Rec. Area and Salt Lick Creek.

Is the day park open and can you fish and what r the hours of operation

Defeated Creek Park / Campground is open, but I’m not sure if they allow day-visitors. I recommend calling to confirm at: 615-774-3141
