Checking RV 43 foot availability with water and 50amp electric hookup for this July 3,4,5,6th, also what is the nightly fee?
    Thank you

    • Hi Rhonda,
Click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and to make reservations at Roan Mountain State Park. Since you’re planning on going over the 4th of July, it’s a good idea you check as soon as possible.

  2. Kevin Ellis says:

When does the rhododendron start to bloom usually?

    • Hi Kevin,
In and around Roan Mountain State Park the rhododendron is in bloom at the lower elevations in June and at mid-elevations during July. Flame azaleas bloom at the low and mid-elevations in April and May. On Gregory Bald the colorful display peaks in late June or early July. On Andrews Bald the peak is usually in early July.

We have been a few years in a row and loved it. Kids always ask when can we cone back.

  4. Jack Callahan says:

I would prefer looking at a campsite map with the individual campsites noted so I can see where I will be camping. The park website had that several years ago, but now I cannot find it.
As camper, this information is extremely important

    • Hi Jack,
Looks like we’re having a little technical issue with the Roan Mountain State Park campground map. We will get it fixed shortly and you’ll be able to click on the ‘campground map’ button to view. In the meantime, I’ve included an image of the Roan Mountain State Park campground map here:
