Lone Mesa Group Campground has 5 campsites that can accommodate 15-40 people. It is located 20 miles northwest of Moab, on a high-desert mesa (5,425 feet) offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Campsites include tables, BBQ grills, shade covers and fire rings. There’s also vault toilets available. The campground has no water, but you can fill up your jugs at Lions Park (intersection of Highway 191 and UT 128). Horse corrals are also available. Cell service is good in the area.

Lone Mesa Group – Area Recreation & Activities

The campground offers easy access to a network of trails for mountain biking, OHVing and horseback riding. Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky) and Dead Horse State Park are also within a 45 minute drive. Other activities in the area include stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Horsethief and Cowboy.
