Yosemite Valley reopens August 14: Yosemite Valley, Wawona and Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park will reopen on Tuesday, August 14th. You will be able to access the Park via Highway 140 and 120. However, there will be no access between Wawona and Yosemite Village. Tioga Road and Big Oak Flat Road are already open. Expect limited services throughout the Park.
Also expect smoky conditions as a result of the Ferguson Fire. You can check out Yosemite National Park webcams to get an idea of the smoky conditions. The Ferguson Fire is now 96,457 acres with 86% containment and the expect to have it fully contained in the coming weeks.
Hopefully it’ll look like this again soon!
