Oak Mountain State Park Overview

Oak Mountain State Park campground was renovated in 2024 and has about 150 single-family campsites and is nestled in rolling hills next to Beaver Lake. The campground is open year round. There are 62 full-hookup RV sites with 50-amp service and 3 RV sites with water & electric. There are also 67 tent campsites (19 have water & electric, 5 with electric only and the rest don’t have hookups). The tent campsites are all “walk-to”, but there is a vehicle parking area about 150 – 250 feet from the campsites. In addition, there are 12 equestrian campsites with full hookups and stalls nearby. Group camping and back country camping are also available.

Campground amenities include potable (water), flush toilets, hot-water showers, laundry facilities, trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station.  There’s also a playground, beach, fishing pier, golf course, marina, RV storage area and camp store. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campsites range in size from 25 feet to 60 feet. Check in is 2:00pm and checkout is 11am.
