Iron Mountain Overview

Iron Mountain Campground has 69+ campsites (with electric hookups) and is located in a forested area on the southern banks of DeGray Lake. It’s also in the foothills of the Quachita Mountains.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site (except tent only) has a paved parking spur (40 t0 77 feet), electric hookups, table, fire ring and grill. There are a handful of sites with double and triple driveways and all campsites have nice shade from the tall trees.

The campground is generally open early March through November. Amenities include potable (drinking) water (spigots throughout campground), flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and an RV dump station.  The area also has a boat ramp, boat trailer lot, full-service marina and playground. Cell service is good in the area.

Iron Mountain Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Degray Lake is one of the region’s five Diamond Lakes, known for their crystal clear waters. The lake flows from the Caddo River in western Arkansas and spans 13,500 surface acres.

Outdoor recreation includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

You might also like DeGray Lake Resort State Park and/or Caddo Drive Campground. Other campgrounds in the area include Edgewood, Arlie Moore and Alpine Ridge.
