This campground is a favorite stopping place for those traveling on the General Crook National Recreation Trail. Fishing and boating (electric motors only) opportunities are popular at Black Canyon Lake which is located 3 miles northeast along Forest Road 86. Wildlife viewing is also pretty good here. You may actually see a heard of wild horses that occasionally run past on their way to water.

If you need a shower, you can get one at Canyon Point Campground. It’s about 7 miles away and just of State Route 260.
