Usery Mountain Regional Park Overview

Usery Mountain Regional Park (Buckhorn Campground) has 75 campsites in a beautiful desert setting on the outskirts of Mesa, AZ. Three group camping areas are also available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 45 feet). Each site has water & electric hookups, a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, immaculate restrooms with flush toilets and hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a group picnic area, playgrounds, exercise area, archery range, nature center and several miles of hiking trails. Cell coverage is good in the area. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp hosts in sites 1 to 4.

There are 3 group camping areas available including Cholla (primitive), A and B.  Each has one large ramada containing six tables, large patio, and shared restrooms with showers. Hookups for RV’s are not available. The group sites can be reserved for a fee and requires a commitment of six units to utilize that facility for dry camping.​

Usery Mountain Regional Park – Area Recreation

The 3,600-acre park offers a variety of outdoor recreation including archery, biking, hiking, horseback riding, stargazing, radio-controlled model airplane flying and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good.
