Big Pine Flat Overview

Big Pine Flat campground has 19 really sweet campsites in a secluded and remote area of the San Bernardino National Forest. All sites are first-come, first-serve and can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs.  The campground is open year round. Access (dirt roads) may be limited in the winter. Be sure to check road/travel conditions before you go.

Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. Fires are not allowed, but you can kick back and enjoy some incredible stars in the dark skies. Each campsite also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.

Big Pine Flat Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

This area is popular for ATV/OHV riding, mountain biking riding, hiking, horseback and wildlife viewing. Big Bear Lake is located about 5 miles away where you can enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing and other water sports.

Serrano Campground is another option in the area. And Serrano also has showers! You might also like Holcomb Valley campground.
