Bow Willow Overview

Bow Willow Campground has 16 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located in a remote, southern section of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. From Sweeny Pass Road, take Bow Willow road about 1.75 miles to the campground. Bow Willow Road is dirt and generally in good shape.
Campsites can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs (up to 24 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Water is not available. Cell service is poor (at best) at the campground.
Other developed campgrounds at the park include Borrego Palm Canyon and Tamarisk Grove. Mt. Palm Springs is near Bow Willow and offers primitive tent camping. Blair Valley is another option and offers at-large (free) camping.
Area Recreation & Activities
Hiking, wildflower viewing and stargazing are great at Bow Willow Campground. Other activities include picnicking, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.
