Butte Creek Overview
Butte Creek Campground has 9 rustic campsites and is along the creek and a few miles from the north entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Butte Lake Campground is also 4 miles away.
The primitive campground is in a secluded area about 4 miles (dirt road) off Highway 44. It’s generally open late Spring to early Fall. All campsites are free and first-come, first-served. Amenities include vault toilets. Potable (drinking) water is not available but you can filter water from the creek. Cell service is not available.
Campsites can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs. Some sites have picnic tables and most have fire rings/grills.
