Camp Discovery Group Overview
Camp Discovery Group Campground has 11 screened cabins and is located next to the Sacramento River just outside the town of Red Bluff. Additional tent camping is also available under a small conifer forest at the same location.
Amenities include group pavilions (with tables, dish washing facilities and large BBQ grills), drinking water, showers, vault toilets, trash collection, storage areas and an amphitheater. Cell service is good in the area.
The cabins have wood and screen siding, a door, electricity and 4 bunk beds. The bunks in the sleeping cabins are made of thick plywood over wooden frames. There are no box springs or mattresses. Campers will also need to bring their own bed rolls and pillows.
Other visitor facilities include day use areas, Sycamore Grove campground, 4.2 miles of trail, a boat ramp, and the Sacramento River Discovery Center.
Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.
