Cibbets Flat Overview

Cibbets Flat is a well maintained campground in the Cleveland National Forest about 60 miles east of San Diego. The campground has 23 campsites (first-come, first-serve) and most have nice shade from large oak trees. Campsites 19-22 are ‘walk-to’ campsites and are closest to the seasonal creek that meanders by the campground. Most other campsites are large and also have a table, fire ring and grate. Sites 5 & 6 and 15 & 16 are double sites.
Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the friendly camp host.
Cibbets Flat – Area Recreation
The area has some nice hiking trails and you can also find a few swimming holes in nearby Kitchen Creek. Mountain biking and wildlife viewing are also popular.
