Codorniz Overview

Codorniz Campground is next to Eastman Lake and has 65 spacious single-family campsites (35 with electric hookups) tucked in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Wildcat campground serves as an overflow and has 19 additional campsites. There are also 3 group and equestrian campsites (and stalls) available.

The campground is open year round. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. There’s also a variety of other amenities at the Codorniz Recreation area including picnic areas,  boat ramp, horseshoes, volleyball, mixed-used trails, a playground, and WiFi at the camp office. Cell service is fair in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Most of the parking spurs have a length of 55 feet, but several also top out at 75 feet.

Codorniz – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and picnicking. There’s also an abundance of wildlife to see in the area.
