Cottage Creek Overview

Cottage Creek Campground 005D

Cottage Creek Campground has 9 spacious campsites located high on a hill above Emerald Cove Marina at Bullards Bar Reservoir. There are seven double-family sites (1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9) and two triple-family sites (2 and 8).  Double sites can accommodate up to 12 people and 4 vehicles. The triple sites can accommodate up to 18 people and 6 vehicles. Some sites have paved parking while others are gravel.

The campground is generally open mid April to mid October. Amenities include drinking water (spigot), vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is good in the area. A camp host is also located on site.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site has a paved parking spur, table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill.

There is also a boat launch/ramp at nearby Emerald Cove Marina, Dark Day and and undeveloped ramp at the end of Moran Road.

Cottage Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Activities include boating, water sports, fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Swimming opportunities are limited because of the steep slopes, but boaters will find numerous opportunities for swimming in various locations around the reservoir.  Supplies are available at the marina as well as the nearby communities of Camptonville, North San Juan, and Dobbins.

A Native American ceremonial circle is also adjacent to the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include Hornswoggle Group, Schoolhouse, Fiddle Creek and Dark Day.
