Curly Jack Campground Klamath National Forest California

Curly Jack Overview

Curly Jack Campground has 16 single-family campsites on the banks of the Klamath River.  Group camping is also available.

Single-family campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet, but most 24 feet). You can have up to 2 vehicles and 6 people per site. Group sites feature a general area for dispersed tent camping and a large gravel parking area for extra vehicles and trailers.

Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. A dump station is located a mile away in the town of Happy Camp. Cell service is marginal at the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include Sarah Totten (17 miles), Acorn Woman Lakes – tent only / walk-to (27 miles), Pearch Creek (34 miles) and Tree of Heaven (38 miles).

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes whitewater rafting & kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The campground is within walking distance (1 mile) to the town of Happy Camp, where there are restaurants and a grocery store. A whitewater rafting outfitter and several fishing guides are based in Happy Camp.
