Dos Picos County Park Overview

Dos Picos County Park Campground has 72 campsites (57 with water/electric hookups) and is set in a forested area 30 miles east of downtown San Diego.  There are also six rustic cabins to rent and one (youth) group campsite.

The quiet family campground is open year-round. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and an RV dump station. There’s also a playground, 3 picnic areas, fishing pond, soccer field, nature trails and a gazebo.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Eleven of the sites are tent only. Each site also has a paved parking area, table, fire ring and grill. The cabins also have outside picnic tables, fire rings and grills.

Dos Picos County Park – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, horse shoes and stargazing. Wildlife viewing can also be good with opportunities to see coyote, fox possum, skunk, raccoon and a variety of bird species.

Other San Diego County/Regional parks you may like include Agua Caliente, Guajome, Lake Morena, Sweetwater Summit, Tijuana River Valley, Vallecito State Station and William Heise.
