Hidden Horse Equestrian Overview

Hidden Horse Equestrian Campground has 6 campsites near the East Fork South Fork Salmon. It is adjacent to the Trinity Alps Wilderness, Russian Wilderness and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. From this site, you can ride to three trailheads that access several wilderness lakes and countless miles of trails.

The campground is open seasonally from mid June to mid October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters).  Campers should bring their own buckets for watering (horses). Cell service is not available in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.k Each site has a gravel parking spur, table, fore ring and grill.  Parking spurs are about 60 feet in length. There are also four 12′ x 12′ corrals at the campground. Hookups are not available.

Hidden Horse Equestrian Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is also great.

The Klamath National Forest encompasses nearly 2 million acres of land straddling the California and Oregon border. The National Forest includes a vast array of mountains, streams, lakes, and, at elevations ranging from 450 to 8,900 feet, is home to diverse plant life and nearly 400 animal species.

Other campgrounds in the general area include Trail Creek Camp and East Fork.
