Old Shady Rest Overview

Old Shady Rest 040

Good Old Shady Rest Campground has 47 single-family (mixed-used) campsites for tents, trailers and RVs among large and mature Jeffrey pine trees in the town of Mammoth Lakes. Most campsites have large parking areas and range in size from 18 to 58 feet (most in the 35-45 foot range).

The quiet and peaceful campground has drinking water, flush toilets and a delightful RV dump station. You can also purchase firewood at the campground (camp host).   Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill.

Old Shady Rest is a short walk to the town of Mammoth Lakes should you need any supplies. The area is a popular destination to ski, fish, hike, bike, photograph and enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife of the Sierras. The town of Mammoth Lakes offers a variety of things to do including shopping, golfing, special events and other activities. There are also many fine restaurants in town if you want to take a break from camp food.
